As a veteran-owned and operated business, the mission of our program is two-fold: service and freedom. We’re here to serve you with all of the skills and knowledge you need to enter the massage therapy field so that you can serve others with the functional, healing power of massage.
The freedom we offer is the freedom to take your career wherever you want. Once you complete this program, you will have all the necessary prerequisites to pass the MBLEx for state licensure, the NCBTMB certifications, and qualify for the COMTA portability of licensure so that you can work or start a business in the massage therapy field almost anywhere in the U.S.
At SBCMA, you’ll learn skills that build on each other so you’re continually gaining practice and experience in previous learnings even as you start something new. You’ll also have the opportunity to regularly work on clients during our student massage clinics so that by the end of your time here, you’ll have completed 84 hours of job training. Not only that, we’ll also give you business training so you can start your career as soon as you pass your licensure. The SBCMA curriculum includes five course categories in addition to the student clinic:
84 hours of Anatomy Physiology and Pathology
108 hours of Kinesiology
176 hours of Massage Theory and Practice
92 hours of Pathology and Treatment
84 hours of Student Clinics
68 hours of Clinical Business Practice
